Dang cold here last night, enough for me to run the wood stove. The stove fan was making a little rattling noise, which THIS TIME I easily rectified by wiggling it to stop the metal-on-metal vibration.

But it did get me thinking, if the fan was to go bad (and you'll only know it when you're actually running it to provide heat), is a spare fan unit available? For me on this item, I do have the spare units (3 of them, NIB, sitting on a shelf).

Now I'm wondering if I've covered other essential items. In the last month, I did pick up some septic and sewer pumps, a spare float and the PVC pipe and accessories to put it all together.

I'm thinking mainly of critical infrastructure items. Sure, we all have spare engine oils and filters but I'm thinking of things that could break and require nearly immediate fixes/parts.

I'm not done with my list but here's things I think I should have at the ready.
As mentioned, woodstove blowers & pumps.
Roof repair
Window repair
Generator repair

What else?

Un opened containers of product specific "Glues" (PVC, ABS) , sealants. caulking.
IF you can get the automotive batteries that are stored dry, and of course acid
All manner of fasteners
