In a cabin, on a mountain, in "Wilderness" Alaska.
I have a "Never Used" built in 1943 Snowshoes belonged to 10'th "Mountain Division", Fort Drum, NY. I am interested in information, and/or selling them. Be nice if they ended up back at FORT DRUM. They are never used, but best for wall hanging at this point. If anyone has any affiliation or relationship with 10'th MOUNTAIN DIVISION. (They are Beautiful and 80 years old)

I have no family connection but if I had the extra cash I would be interested. Sadly, I am not able to help but hopefully someone here may be interested or may be able to offer information or point you in the right direction.

Do you have a picture you can share? I would like to see them.

On a side note, my older sister has my dad's WW2 army skis and boots (leather). They are very cool and were the first ones to have the metal edge to sharpen and help with turning and slowing down on packed down snow or icy conditions. The bindings were the first "safety" bindings that allowed the ski to come off the boot if you caught an edge so you would be less likely to break a leg. He didn't use/need/have them during the war but they are the first skis he bought and used for downhill skiing after the war. He and his friends didn't know how to ski so they would just aim straight down hill and when at the bottom they would fall to stop. After coming too close to an older guys kid the guy offered to teach them how to ski, and that was how he learned the proper way to ski downhill.

There might be a 10th mountain division museum that might take them. They probably won’t buy them, but might display if donated.

Only relationship I have is when I drive through it on my way to the cabin. I second @Alaskajohn. Perhaps they have a museum that would be interested in them.

As an interesting aside (to me anyway), my great-great grandfather was in Mr. Lincoln’s 14th Regiment during the civil war and later in the Arizona Territory. The company/battalion he served in later was incorporated into the 10th Mountain Division in the 19th century.

Who was the manufacturer? I have several pair of US military snowshoes, Alaskan style (3 pair) and Bear Paw style (2 pair). Mine are made by C.A. Lund and Bentley-Wilson.

I used to have a 10th Mountain Division contact, but he has passed on.
