Interesting article. Even with the annoniminty i still noticed she emphasized on the crazy portion of things. Reminds me though, I want to inspect my bags and will post them here for critique.
It just typifies the medias attitude towards our non conformist community.
Again the media is making preppers out to be fools. I don't doubt some prep the bags that way though the content isn't photographed in it's original state and very easily could have been staged for no other reason than shock value! Staged or not that's going to be the perception "guns, beer and marijuana" unfortunately modern journalism focuses on perception not facts.
I'm ok with being perceived as crazy. At least I'm not standing in long lines for gas, food or building supplies like they are in Fla. right now. I'm pretty relaxed about most events now with the knowledge and supplies I've gathered. I personally think this stuff should be taught in schools.
I evac when FEMA tells me to because FEMA are the experts.

That Sir if I remember correctly was taken in the run up to Hurricane Andrew where one of the preppers affected said even he ran out of fuel after driving at 5 MPH for 14 hours in nose to tail traffic, he set off with a full tank and two extra jerry cans of fuel and he only got as far as just into Georgia IIRC. At least this is a copy of the image he posted in relation to the storm.
Naa was from Andrew when even prepped survivalists got stranded after driving all day in low gear in heavy traffic before running out of fuel on Nowhereville Georgia.
Either that or it was Mavericks family popping home for thanksgiving
I was guessing Katrina. Oh well. If you don't leave early, don't leave. I can't think of much worse than being overtaken by a huge storm stuck in traffic out in the open.
