Yes, absolutely. Aliens (illegal) have been invading this country for years.

The reality is if they are truly intelligent they will probably not bother with us. However if they are a race like us we are screwed. Think of the Spaniards anywhere they landed in North or South America. We will probably live on reservations if they don't rub us out.

Kindly hard to prep for something that's not of earth's origin with intelligence. I have a feeling it wouldn't be all that friendly that why we shouldn't be trying to make contact with distance worlds if they even exist, I would think superior intelligent species from a distance world would probably view us as vile creatures and want to exterminate us on that reason alone. Besides, who would want to visit when our yard looks like a garbage dump? A little embarrassing really

I highly doubt any alien race capable of interstellar travel would be warlike.

Why? Simple. The motivation for war would be absent.

On Earth, we humans war for ONE reason....control of resources. Period. We may use other BS reasons, but when it really comes down to it, this one reason is the real motivation.

But, an interstellar species would effectively have unlimited resources, even within just one solar system. So, without this motivation, it seems unlikely they'd want to risk resources just to gain what they could otherwise get without contest on an uninhabited world.
