Or am I just nuts?

The DOJ has already talked of criminal charges and an AG is already attempting to prosecute climate change deniers

Now add the companies that make money off green energy whom also owns the weather forecasting companies in partnership with NOAA pushing this man made climate change BS that is in cahoots with social media to push this BS using a form of social re-engineering. Maybe I'm nuts and reading to much into this?

October 2015
IBM announced Wednesday that it has purchased the Weather Company (Weather Channel)

The company partnered with the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in April to bring weather information to provide forecasting and climate change data to its customers. Google (GOOGL, Tech30), Microsoft (MSFT, Tech30) and Amazon (AMZN, Tech30) have also partnered with NOAA

The Weather Company is owned by two private equity firms and Comcast's (CMCSA) NBCUniversal division. They acquired it for $3.5 billion in 2008

The two companies entered into a partnership in March. The Weather Company shifted its data services to IBM's cloud platform, and IBM began to use Weather Company data to provide insights for data scientists, business professionals and software developers.

On Sunday, IBM (IBM, Tech30) and the Weather Company announced a partnership with Twitter to gain weather insights from social media.

You will INSTANTLY be able to tell when a government, ANY Government gets genuinely concerned about climate change / global warming etc and it will be the day they do TWO things that PROOF they believe the problem is real.
(1) They will ban leisure passenger flights both nationally and internationally.
(2) they will ban leisure motoring.
This will then be topped off by a massive (US) project to build Light Rail systems, Tram Systems, and High Speed very fast intercontinental passenger rail networks which are 100% more energy eficient and less polluting than planes.

The MILLIONS of planes doing leisure and recreational flights globally dump insane amounts of CO2 and other crap into the HIGH atmosphere and CARs do the same at ground level.

I'm VERY skeptical about this issue but one point I do believe most strongly in and I believe it to be right but no private citizen NEEDS a vehicle with an engine bigger than 2.5 litres in engine capacity

One thing the governments misrepresents is that climate change is a natural act of nature and not man made as the governments lead us to believe it is man made! I do believe the climate is changing as it has throughout the earths geological history and all the feel good measures won't change natures attitude. Global warming is blamed for this climate change thus global warming is man made by means of green house gases, I say BS, its all a naturally occurring climate change but the governments of the world has blurred the lines between climate change and global warming impressing upon that global warming came first, this whole **** has become a religion in its own right persecuting those that don't follow this religious sectarianism belief! Hmm, return of the 12th century inquisition?

Unless its a truck for pulling ;) but I agree, in most trucks and cars the way they are used today don't need anything bigger than a 2.5L 4/6 cyl engines, in my full size trucks all have 8-cyl diesels but than again I haul heavies. in my mid size truck I have a 4.0L v6 anything less the poor thing would struggle hauling the flat bed full of hay so some needs for a bigger engine ;)

One thing since the 80s enviro-wackos were saying man made global warming was melting the ice caps now they all say climate change is melting the ice caps, I guess it's easier to proclaim the naturally occurring climate change as the cause keeping in place its man-made caused (once reserved for global warming) Though, it's not that the ice is melting, it is shifting! These wackos keep measuring the same spot, not realizing or just don't care so as to further the agenda but the magnetic pole and ice caps move in tandem so this begs the question, do they not know this? if they know this then why do they keep measuring the same spot knowing the cap is shifting? I would truly love to hear the explanation... PLEASE

Maverick, its unfortunate that most American's don't care, oh yeah, their are those environmental parades and gatherings, but the run of the mill American, has no more attention to that, then the political scene. Let's face it if it were a race issue, they'd be all over that, but green house affect, they simply don't see it as a threat.

As for Northern Raider, the light rail system, while it works in some communities, like Minneapolis, who'd rather not ride on a rail, when it is icy out, simply said, we are just not a nation geared toward rail. I know that U.K. has a great system. We still have the sign in the garage from our tour in U.K.. about "Minding the Gap", possibly my wife's favorite slogan, when we ride a train here in the U.S., but too get American's to ride, they want to get their quick and don't care about the emissions, just look at how we move things, FEDEX, UPS and our fleets of tractor trailers that ply the roadways of America. American's are spoiled and not willing to make sacrifices, sure they will say so, but I live in a town that just went through a major four year drought, guess what soon as we went to 100 percent in our lakes, everyone started their sprinkler systems. Me, we've had the rain, I haven't even used the system, other than to test it, which had no leaks and guess what I mow the lawn high, like I did when we had the drought, my neighbors that sprinkle their lawns, they have burnt grass, mine is green as Ireland and the U.K.

The one thing we can all agree upon is AIR pollution in all our towns and cities aint good, and most of the **** comes from cars and pickups, I do think we can do far more towards that, Common sense dictates that whilst some folks DO need large haulage capacity but most do not. Over here we get Ford F 150s with 2 litre engines as an example and they cruise the continent fine. I love US pickups everyone south of Mason Dixon seems to have one, but they rarely need the daft huge great engines.

As for protecting our Green and Rural wildernesses the simplest and easiest and wisest way of protecting it is to pass the governance of it AWAY from state control block all big business such as oil, coal and lumber Mega companies having any say in it and lets those who live and work in it on a small scale to look after it. the best people to look after the countryside are those who have to rely on it for a living.

In arid country the only water used on sprinklers should be to water FOOD crops, leisure and vanity usage such as golf courses should use recycled gray water, you cannot beat Nature if they want green lawns they should move to the north of the country.:) Now over here our bloody grass grows about 4 inches a week :)
