Guys can you all suggest to me the best American movies pertaining to the American Civil war please? especially ones that focus on the military units?

Red Badge of Courage, Gods and Generals, North and South (miniseries), Glory, of course, as a movie, going to focus more on a central story than a history lesson on battles though.

Gods and Generals , Gettysburg are a must see . These are part of the same Historians study . There is a 3rd part called Last full measure that may not get finished to release .

If you want a documentary i suggest looking up the civil war by Ken Burns . Youtube has a Ken Burns channel with all of them on it . Its a long series . 9 episodes about 1 1/2 hrs each
