In one of life's odd little things....
April Fool's Day was my son's birthday. The week before it, Evanescence/Lindsey Stirling tickets went on sale (for a huge show in August). Being two of his favorite acts, we got him tickets for the concert for his birthday. (and the rest of the family).
I can't do big concerts. Not to go into too much detail, but they just make me horribly sick, and just aren't pleasant for me, even though I enjoy a good show, music, etc. So, I have to do much smaller venues. (So I'm not going with the rest of them to that show, but I do like Lindsey Stirling).
For those who don't know, she's about the only violinist you'd have heard of (other than Yo Yo Ma)....she's kind of a pop-music performing violinist, young, cute, dances all over the stage while playing, that kind of thing.
So, this past weekend, we're at a new Renaissance Festival in Central FL. (Invited to be there, as we are kind of known for our costumes, etc.).. Turns out, Lindsey Stirling was doing an impromptu concert (got her start at Ren Fests)!
So, got to see her, for FREE, and with only about 140 people.... Totally AMAZING!
Anyhoo, if you're a fan of hers, you certainly won't be disappointed by her tour.
Just a weird little quirk of the Universe, or maybe just some good karma for not going to the big show (which allows one of his friends to go with).... don't know...but just wanted to share this weird little coincidence.
