The free state of Arizona is proposing a bill to require students say the pledge of allegiance and for all classrooms to have the American made American flag. Just one more reason to love Arizona.

This will be hard for the Jehova's Witnesses' in Arizona.

It's my understanding that they have religious objections to politics and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Im more intrested in what the school system teaches in the classroom . We had the National Anthem and Pledged of Allegiance when I was in Elementary school and I had a problem even then with the required part .

As a libertarian I have problems with it too. "Free" and "required" just don't really go together.

I have always been patriotic and really celebrated the bicentennial in 76 and appreciated the Anthem and Pledge in school . But when the Teacher would fuss about how we were saying the Pledge I would intentionally change from United States of America to saying Confederate States of America .

There is an option for parents to opt - out their children. No exception for where the flag is made.
