Perp dead...!!

Score one for the good guys...!!

:cop:

Where's this in the news ?

I'm assuming that's a rhetorical question, but I'll opine anyway........................"it doesn't fit the narrative.

Well, if you're going to be "the good guy with a gun" in Birmingham Alabama, you better be white...

NY Post said:
"We extend sympathy to the family of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr., of Hueytown, who was shot and killed during Hoover Police efforts to secure the scene in the seconds following the original altercation and shooting,” the statement Monday said. “The loss of human life is a tragedy under any circumstances.”
Bradford, an Army veteran, had a permit to carry a weapon, said his father.
Bradford’s parents told CNN on Monday that the cops still haven’t spoken with them, as they called on police to release body-camera video.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a good guy with a gun,” said Ben Crump, a civil rights attorney hired by the Bradford family. “If you’re black, the police shoot and kill you and ask questions later.”...
They’re still hunting for the initial shooter.
Originally, reports said that 'the attacker' had been shot dead by police.:bang Head:
Tragic.

:pee:The Liberal Media wanted to rewrite the story to fit their narrative.

A "Good Guy" with a gun cannot be legitimized...

Oh, I'm sure since the Washington Post is so nearby, that they had a reporter on the scene in minutes:rolleyes:.
Third-hand info with a side-order of spin anyone?

A little closer to the truth:
AL.COM said:
"Several shoppers were seen with their guns drawn."
Guess which one they shot?

This guy who 'never served':
emantic-bradford-mall-shooting.jpg

According to the Army spokesman he never served.
He never completed his advanced training to become a Combat Engineer and he never served as an engineer.
The spokesperson was refuting Bradford referring to himself on Facebook as a "Combat Engineer", which he wasn't.
With just a little spin it comes out: "he never served".

Thing is...story wasn't about the loser...or his service or lack there of.

It was about how said loser was stopped by a citizen with a concealed carry license willing to act !!

Ahhh.............maybe I misunderstood what they were yappin' about.

I've read 3 or 4 articles about it, 'cause you can never get the same rendition from everyone.

No, the cops shot the armed citizen, with a concealed carry license, who was a veteran, that was trying to help.
They are still looking for the shooter that shot the two people, who is still at large.
@Curmudgeon: That is what 'spin' is supposed to do.

I'm still puzzled as to why they say he was running away brandishing a gun.

Perhaps a little CYA on their (the popo) part?

Wonder what an armed citizen looks like that is chasing the bad-guy?

McDonald’s Gunman Taken Out by Armed Dad
October 29, 2018

McDonald’s employees are instructed to comply with the demands of robbers. The corporate office feels it is the best way to ensure the safety of their workers. The customers who frequent these establishments aren’t always as keen to knuckle under to the demands of criminals, especially when those criminals come in shooting.

That’s what happened Saturday night in a McDonald’s in Birmingham, Alabama. As the employees were closing up, and the last customers were leaving, a masked gunman entered and began firing a rifle.

The employees ran. Some hid in the freezer, fearing for their lives.

One customer, though, was also armed. When the masked man began shooting, the dad pulled his pistol and returned fire. The customer had his two sons with him.

One of the teenagers was wounded. It is believed that he was hit in the exchange of gunfire, but he’s in stable condition and expected to recover. The customer was also hit. He, too, is recovering from his wounds.

The gunman wasn’t as lucky. The customer shot him and the man died from the wound.

Markus Washington, one of the McDonald’s employees, told reporters he was making “two quarter-pounders” when he heard the shots. Washington ran to the freezer.

“I’m feeling grateful,” he said. “Wrapping my head around it all, I was just wishing someone would come wake me up from this nightmare.”

“All we hear is like different gunfire, so in my mind, I’m imagining everybody is dead. He’s looking for us,” he said. Washington added he was thankful the armed customer was there.”

“Wrapping my head around it all, I was just wishing someone would come wake me up from this nightmare.”

“He’s my hero. Because I can only imagine how it would’ve went if he wasn’t armed. We might not be here having this interview,” Washington said.

Things like this are difficult for both families. The gentleman who unfortunately lost his life, the teenage boy who is in the hospital recovering from his injuries and the father who is also recovering from his injuries,” Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Bryan Shelton said. “It’s not easy being a father and watching your child get injured, get hurt like that. It’s a really heart wrenching experience.”

“It’s really sad an otherwise positive day had an ending like this,” Shelton said. “Earlier we had such a spirit of celebration in the city because of the events going on and now families are having to deal with the tragedy of loved ones who are hurt or killed.”

"It’s truly said, but it’s something as a community we can overcome,” he said. “We just have to work together to find a solution to our issues without resorting to violence.”

“Right now it appears the victim made a decision that cost his life and the father made a decision that preserved his and children’s’ life.”

In post #5 and onward we're talking about the shooting at the Galleria Mall in Hoover (Birmingham, Alabama) on 11-22-18 where the cops shot the wrong guy (an armed citizen) because he was armed and black.

We got switched up to discussing another incident other than the one in the OP.

Subject is "Armed Citizens". My posts were about one.

I brag a lot about us being 'crime-free' down here.
Some guy from out-of-town decided to rob the local Dollar General at gunpoint.
Before jumping in his getaway car, he fired a round at one of the citizens.
He sped away with 2 CCW citizens in hot-pursuit right behind him!
He didn't get far.
Fortunately, the police were able to save him from being shot.
If they had been 5 minutes late, they would have found 2 guys arguing over 'who shot him first'.:eyeballs:
I would like to congratulate my fellow citizens for exercising amazing restraint.
The word will get out.
That ***t don't fly down here!:waiting:
Say hello to Angola!!! It's a very safe place.:p
Police said the suspect exited the store and ran to a vehicle that was parked at the business. While the suspect was running to the vehicle, he fired one round at a person parked in the parking lot. The suspect fled the scene traveling north on Louisiana Highway 89.

The suspect was followed by the witness in the parking lot, and a license plate was obtained, Boudreaux stated.

Chief Boudreaux said the witness who followed the suspect was the same person who was shot at in the parking lot by the suspect.
(Sorry, I can't link the article without doxing myself.:()

Link is dead. 💀
No. This was yesterday.
The links are just fine.
I just can't post them without pinpointing my location. :(
Our actual store  :
