I agree with Georgia...... WHY. I can see someone stealing/looting, if things are bad enough (don't agree with it but could understand). But why destroy already short supplies. The people doing this would fit the description of Terrorist. Why else but to terrorize others.

I’ve often thought about shtf happening and with all the gangs and criminals out there what would happen. The police are seriously outnumbered and in many cases out gunned now. Would average people like us take a stand and begin to enforce rules of common decency?

One of the things we have noticed about social welfare states is the more dependent on welfare people get the more resentful they get of people who are sucessful. So basically they get to the point of " If they cannot steal it they will wreck it or burn it". You often see public housing estates in the UK getting refurbished and updated with new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, heating, garden landscaping, liesure facilities, childrens play areas and local shops etc I can almost guartantee you that within months most of the external improvements will be vandalised, trashed, burnt or stolen, the local shop will bw burgled out of business and the homes gardens will be use to fly tip ruibbish. I have personally seen brand new childrens play areas that cost $500,000 to build wrecked within a week of opening, I have seen community liesure areas become garbage dumps etc

In France and Germany you see fully refurbished and upgraded apartment blocks get trashed totally in months by REFUGEES who dont like the fact they have not been given nice family homes.

By nature, humans do not appreciate and therefore take care of things they do not have to work for to gain or achieve.

This is absolutely true. It's why children need to be taught hard work from a young age, even if it's just helping keep the house and yard clean, or helping with community service projects. It gives them respect for their surroundings and the people they interact with.
