So, this weekend....something horrible happened.
We were in Sarasota for the Medieval Faire (we generally get a hotel room and stay the weekend).
This is over 50 miles from home or work.

Truck broke down.
We're stranded.

No prep can help us there....except one. Friends.
A friend came and got my wife to the Faire while another friend helped me get around to trouble shoot it. Never got it going.

Another friend took my wife to work the next day (about 60 miles away), while I got it towed to a garage, etc. Another friend took me home (about 60 miles), and yet another then took me to the city we both work (about 50 miles from my home) so we could be there next day (today). Yet more friends got us from our hotel to work.

Bottom line....friends are some of the best preps one can have folks.

Yep, I pick 'em good! One was even going to let me use a car, but the brakes on it were giving them trouble on the weekend, so no go there.

a friend you can TRUST is something to have, they tend to come far and wide in between,so when one have one,it's good.

a friend you can trust in the good times is one thing(I've got plenty of those), but one you can trust post SHTF is a horse of a different colour!
