I just saw the same. Apparently one kid held a gun to the head of another & kill him/her at point blank range. Another kid may have been injured trying to stop it... very fluid news... but I don't think it was a mass shooting. Most likely one kid getting revenge on another? Hate to say that might be a 'best case' scenario...

Listening to a tv station talking to a kid who's in lockdown IN one of the classrooms. Really? The media will exploit a kid to 'get the inside scoop'? Pathetic.

Yeah, so far this seems more like a single shooting case, vs. a mass shooter incident. Details are still pretty scant though.

From what I hear on the news is this punk was shot by a safety officer (teacher?) with a gun. It could have been worse.

Yep, the school resource officer took them out.

I doubt this kid was looking to shoot others though. My bet is that he and his girl broke up, and he decided to take her and the new boyfriend out.

He still may have got her, she's allegedly in critical condition with life threatening injuries. Hope she pulls through.

Of course, the press will COMPLETELY gloss over the fact that it took a person with a gun, to STOP a school gunman....but eh.

This isn't the March event though folks. IF this gets enough traction though, they may hold off on triggering the next one this month....but I wouldn't bank on it.

A kid who was actually planning a mass event though, was caught in another state (his parents turned him in, and he sought help himself). Pipe bombs, Molotov's, etc.

I feel for the officer. Yes, I’m really glad he stepped up and killed the little turd, but now he has to live with taking out a kid for the rest of his life.

Keep popping these criminals whether its a School , shopping center , movie theater or where ever then execute that criminal that shot up the schools in FL and mass shootings will become something seldom heard of . They no longer feel in control which is what violent criminals want .

Nope. But I do think more folks are waking up to things. I'd be perfectly happy with NO more school shootings this year. To be honest, I was predicting just mass shooting incidents, not that they'd concentrate on schools. That's just even more nefarious (though not unpredicted).

As for this incident, it's pretty obvious this was NOT a triggered mass shooting, but instead, a jilted kid getting back at his gal and her new boyfriend. So, now we're in "iffy" territory. They could go ahead and trigger a mass shooter within the next 10 days, OR they could just let this one count as enough of an impetus to keep this fear current.

My bet is that they still trigger one, because this case has two elements that play against the narrative...

1. The kid had the firearm illegally, which plays against the narrative that more laws are needed.

2. The kid was stopped by another, armed person, exactly the narrative they don't want out there, as it is counter to the goal of disarmament.

I'm reminded of a passage in Bill Cooper's 1991 book "Behold a Pale Horse". Granted, I think Cooper was a bit of a loon, but his celebrity in that circle did get folks to send him some actual real information....and some of that is eerily coming to pass....(pg 225)

This is intended to foster a feeling of insecurity, which would lead the American people to voluntarily disarm themselves by passing laws against firearms. Using drugs and hypnosis on mental patients in a process called Orion, the CIA inculcated the desire in these people to open fire on schoolyards and thus inflame the anti-gun lobby. This plan is well under way, and so far is working perfectly. The middle class is begging the government to do away with the 2nd Amendment

I've got an almost full-proof plan, if folks would pay for it.

1.) Reduce points of entry/exit...ensure the rest of the perimeter is a) hard to breach, and b) would trigger an alarm if breached

2.) At these points of entry/exit, specialized metal detectors built into the entryway, that will do specific actions if a degree of metal is detected: a) lock down the school (all classrooms, hallways, etc. electro-locked), b) sound a specialized alarm for a shooter incident, c) notify local police, SWAT, and the school resource officer

3.) ALWAYS have an armed school resource officer on the campus (with a biometric trigger (so kids can't get his gun and use it)).

4.) Ensure the students are well-versed in school policy about the detectors, consequences, etc.

5.) Ensure the students and staff know EXACTLY what to do in this scenario.

6.) Finally, ANY armed personnel other than police, in the school, should have a biometric trigger
