FINALLY finished the bunny habitat, and they just love having so much room! (converted one of our stable stalls to a bunny habitat for our 3 bunnies).
Had this on the ongoing prep update thread too, but in case it gives anyone ideas, figured I'd post separately also for info. I had some stocked wood and fencing, and our bunnies were previously in fairly small bunny hutches, so I wanted to give them more room (and while we have 11 different horse stalls, in reality, the property can really only support about 6 horses or so, so had the stall space. (eventually, converting another stall to a guest bedroom, and yet another to an artist studio space).
Entering into the stall: a little walk area, then you can enter into two of the three habitats. The third is accessed by going through one of the others.
FooFoo and Damon getting reaquainted....
Example of how each has a little burrow and ramped shelf. Gives them some play space, and a safe place to feel hidden. Ramp and burrow are hinged for easy cleaning.
Feeder/Water station (can feed/water all 3 bunnies from this one access point), as well as toss in hay, etc. to each. In a followup, I'll show how we did the water bottles. We extended them with PVC, for more capacity. I'll also show an open view of the feeder box so you can see.
