Ok Dodge-Boys, nice selection of Mopars. What year is the green one?
I remember the '68, but the green one brought me a flashback of repressed memories.
Whatever year that green one is, they didn't build any slow ones.
With the massive weight transfer to the back wheels and whatever was under the hood, made those things ungodly fast.

Yeah, the '69.
Those were merciless *******s and took our lunch-money:cry:.
We could gun down almost anything with our heavily-modified '65 Malibu SS with the high-compression 396, racing cam and headers:

...but not those '69 RT's or the hemi's. And we knew better than to race the hemi's:rolleyes:.

Great picture of the Charger high-wheeling a turn!
And I can tell you that unless they unplugged one of the sparkplugs in the RT, that Mustang ain't catchin' it:eek:.
And I don't know who's bright idea it was to put the red-stripe bias-ply tires on the above '69 to make it look 'original' but if it had a hemi in it, they wouldn't last 5 minutes before it sent them up as smoke-signals:rolleyes:.

Since we are on Mopar's.
Back in my younger drag racing days I just could not beat the 426 max wedge with 2 four barrel carbs.
It was a 10 second car with just a few mods.
Here's a 64 model.

Fortunately for us, those were very rare and we never ran across one.
Or we'd be singing a tune like...
That Boss 429 was powerful but I could never seem to beat the Dodge Dart "Max Wedge" 413.
Turn up the volume and listen to that lope.
I'd gladly give up my lunch-money today to be around one of those when it roared.
We had some pretty fast stuff, but when someone handed our *** to us, we were very interested.

My ex brother-in-law had a '66 'cuda just like this 1,same color and same 273 high performance engine. He said the speedometer went to 150 and it would do every bit of that, plus.

Oh I wouldn't doubt it at all if it came with a high-ratio rear end.
Speaking of rear ends, it was far ahead of it's time. If you take a good look, it could easily be an escapee of wind-tunnel testing from a decade later.
Look close at the profile shape and compare it to this:

On the flip-side, (car wreck pun) I'd probably pee my pants going 150 in a '66 'cuda; going 140 in my brother's '67 'stang almost did because I had seen the aftermath of some "high-speed" vehicles that 'left the road'.
Almost all of the pieces would fit in a garbage bag...human, as well as car, body parts:eek:.

150 + in my 2011 Shelby Mustang,on the road course track about 11 miles from my house .

A few tuning mods got me 600 hp.
