When the Bullitt car chase scenes were filmed the Charger had to slow down for the Mustang to keep up.

A few tuning mods got me 600 hp.

I've been a big mustang fan and I had a chance at a '69 fastback they had just cammed up,but getting ready to go to Auto trade school 70 miles away it wasn't a good idea at the time. I've always loved the fastbacks,Cobras,Shelby Cobras and the Mach 1s. Don't have the money for them now,I missed my boat.

Awesome! Felt really alive too!
I can bet your buttcheeks had a good grip on the seat though

I could probably handle it a lot better with the newer technology today.
Take those 16-17" tires off and put some 14" bias-ply tires on it and go 140:eek:.
You can see God from there.
I'll offer free hair-color to get rid of the white hairs:D.

That's a fact...the '68 Charger was my 1st love.
Never got over her...
Shhh! We'll never tell:D.
Besides, as we've gotten older our reaction time is about 10-times worse than it was when we were teens. We'd just hurt ourselves:rolleyes:.

We should be shopping for a nice responsible SUV in our older years.

That sharp lookin' Top...!!

My other Jeep was a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

It had a Straight Six...loved that engine !!

But, it was time to turn it in a few years ago...

The dashboard electronics went and they didn't make that part new anymore. They did sell used dashboards...no warranty...could last one week or five years...plus a thousand to install with a only a six month installation warranty.

No Thanks...!!

Went shopping the next day...and picked up the Patriot coming off a three year lease in 2016...with only 26K on the odometer. Only has 34K now, after 2 years owning it...

Be sure and let the wife drive:rolleyes:.
I could handle the new Cherokee SRT with 475 hp.
Now now, we said responsible!
My brother has a Ford Raptor SVT with over 400hp and he'd turn it loose with teenagers at the wheel in the middle of the pasture.
...Four rooster-tails of dirt flying 50-feet behind us was an impressive sight.
Nothing like having 4 wheels to put all that horsepower into:

She has beautiful eyes...!!

.
Where's the intake on the SBC in the yellow rod?
I know it works because the pipes are blue.
I WANNA SEE!!!

(oh, and the chick is totally hot too)

I know this isn't a car but I loved watching this thing run at the truck pulls when we lived in Georgetown Ky. where the owner and builder of it came from. It's a locomotive top on a tank bottom as you can see with a 510cid Chevy engine with turbos, from the sound of it,but it might have been blown. I could've swore he said it had a Jet engine but I might be wrong. Anyway it was a wild thing to watch the way he'd fly over a line of cars crushing them as he bounced over the top of them.
