Bring it back!

They do! Once or twice a week on the TCM channel. I think that's Turner Classic Movies. They play a lot of old movies, most black n white, all the big stars of the 30's, 40's and 50's. I watch a couple old movies each week, most are better than the crap they call entertainment today.

I downloaded that photo of the Packard some time ago. I recognized it as one I see in old movies. Now I look for it, I saw one in a Lauren Bacall movie last week. (a 20yr old Bacall, she was smokin' hot!)

Right after WW2, probably 1945, one of the warriors next door came home driving a Packard sedan. I was highly impressed with that grill. I was 7 or 8 y.o.

Pop quiz.
Make and model of this "Jeep"?
My dad was the driver. His friend identified only as "Barksdale" is riding "shotgun". Germany, WW2.
I recovered this picture just yesterday after not being able to access the picture for many years. Just thought I would share.

My grandpa bought one of the many surplus Jeeps after the war. He still had it when I was little, used to take me fishing in it. He sold it when I was about 7, I was so bummed. I guess he and grandma finally got to the age where they needed a car with a roof... and doors. 😂

I got a good one for you all! I was working at this dealership and a guy brings in this car that he was apparently building for some one else. I did some programming fix Ed the tach and some HVAC work then drove it . It was a nice 6.4 hemi in a 71 challenger all aftermarket steering, brakes and suspension. Just a damn nice car!!
