Even THAT ONE brings back memories!
My grandmother had a 1963 Ford Galaxie. It had a straight-six in it, with a choke.
She did not like the choke.
She hated even worse to let the clutch out and have it die.
She would load us heathen boys into it and drag us to church on sunday.
I vividly remember the jet-engine tail-lights:

She would start it up cold and hold the gas-pedal on the floor... and not let it up:eek:, for a LOOONG time until it warmed up.
Waaaaaaaaaaa!
I wasn't even a teenager or a mechanic yet but I knew that couldn't be good for one.
Looking back, I think the only thing saving it from throwing connecting-rods out the side was the one-barrel carb with the choke halfway on that it was sucking thru.
She lived to 94 and drank gin every day.

There's a funny story when they decided to dry her out after she had suffered a fall.... but that's another day:rolleyes:.

^^^ Nice Top... ^^^

Just seen a Chevy Nomad in my neck of the woods...a two tone... sea foam green and white.

It was gassing up when I drove by...really had to fight the urge to turn around and go check it out.

.

I'm surprised they didn't have the front tires keep blowing being that close to the headers .
You need more than 14 seconds at WOT to make 'em glow:D.
No danger at all to the tires.
Don't ask me how I know:rolleyes::

Getting sparkplug wires to survive back-to-back dyno pulls; now THAT'S a problem.
Been there, burnt that, and learned.
