I built this cold room in my basement. Useful for veggies and canned food storage.

Have to ask though, why are the veggie bins so big? Seems that stuff at the bottom would likely go bad soon enough. Wouldn't more, but smaller bins be more useful in the allotted space? Just asking, as there may be a reason for the space I'm not aware of, so curious.
