I have 6 ears of corn.and their still in the husk.im gonna bake them in the oven.i know to wash them.then peel the husk back.but leave the husk connected. and wash some more.then add the butter and/or what ever.put the husk back in place.wrap in aluminum foil.and then place on a baking sheet.but yet.im not sure to what temp to preset the oven temp at.any suggestions?

I usually soak the whole corn, hush and all for a couple hours before cooking. It keeps the husk from drying out or catching fire when done on the grill. I like your idea of some butter before covering back with the husk. On the grill it is my favorite way to cook corn.

We’ve been cooking, shucked, on the grill. And sometimes on the gas cooktop to keep from having to go outside when hell is cooler. When it burns a little, turn it. Makes it really sweet.

I just discovered cooking it this way not long ago and now it’s the only way I cook it.

I've known about cooking it on/in the griil.and in the even for years.and seen it done on/in the grill i dunno how many times. But never done it either way before.always boiled.without the husk.then everyone got to butter, salt and pepper it the way they want it.

I don’t know how or why, but cooking it this way seems to make it sweeter.

I prefer steamed in the husk, but then not everyone has as big a steamer as we do. And I guess I'm weird because I've always like plain yellow corn a lot better than the sweet white corn.
