I once responded to a call where a man (who was security officer for an armored car company) was "cleaning" his gun at his apartment's dining room table. He had a negligent discharge and the round went up through the ceiling into the dining room above and blew up the tea cup of the woman seated at the table reading the paper. That woman's son was a sergeant with the Sheriff's Office and needless to say called the right person and helped him find a new career. Which is still better than blowing yourself up with a grenade.

Police did not say why the woman jumped into the enclosure. She had to climb over a fence, a line of prickly hedges and a wall to get in.

She suffered serious injuries after being bitten on her arms and legs.
