Hi people, at the moment this is just an idea but i'm interested in knowing what else i should add to the "Doomsday Bus"
other than what it says it would have:
ABS
PAS
Disc brakes
Run flats
Super charger?
Upgraded silencer
Anti roll bar
Upgraded torsion bar and dampers
cutaway59deluxe-761863.jpg

emergency hatch on roof.and one at the rear just in case it ends up on one of its sides..remove the rear seat if it has one.that'll give you more storage space..heavy duty steal bumpers.. largest under carage gas tank possible with in reason.

Skid plates for critical undercarriage components.

Room for some basic tools, mechanical spares and fluids (oil, coolant, brake fluid).

also i'm trying to keep the exterior as normal looking as possible
Hi cyclingjames, Sounds like a good Bugout vehicle. But if I were doing your project I would weigh everything you expect to carry and then calculate the power to weight ratio, so you can get the engine and gears that will handle the load, you also need total weight to calculate the torsion bars numbers. and you should get some figures on how much torque the axles will take before they twist or break with the added power you will need to move all the extra weight. these are just some of the things I would consider looking into if I were doing your very interesting project. Good Luck and Keep thinking you are doing a good job, so far keep on going, and change whatever needs changed to accomplish your goals. "Cheers" " Mountain Scout"
