I got notice the other day that I've used 40 GB more data this month than normal. Note that I keep several windows open at once, including DoomsdayPrepperForums.

Through task manager I saw a regular data blip over the network. I slowly started closing things until I found DPF was the culprit. Now it's not uncommon for various programs to check for updates regularly (email, forums, etc). A little data. But DPF used more than 5 times more than everything else a couple of people use! I'm talking 10+ GB a week.

Anyone else notice this? I'm running firefox if it matters on Win10. I now keep DPF closed expect on occasion to check things.

No usage issues over here old chap, cheap unlimited superfast broadband. The only problems I get with DPF if pages often not fully loading.

I'll walk away unintentionally leave DPF open in firefox (on Win10) with additional tabs opened from various sites and had no adverse affect on data usage [firefox Ver 56.0.1 (64-bit)]
