These experiments continue to grow and develop. This is one of Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LAS) next projects that has locals up in arms as this is in pristine recreation and subsistence areas near me. The experiment is known as LAS 34697. I won’t be able to see it from my place, but I am in 155 howitzer range. Anyone have one I can borrow with a couple dozen rounds? (Dear feds, that is known as a joke. I don’t have the skills, the means or the inclination).
This is one of the prettiest and most pure spots left on the planet and they want to build this. It will include the installation of 32 Radio Frequency Antennas and Solar Arrays. Plus the creation of trails, buried cables, etc on extremely fragile tundra.
That big field partially obscured by the bushes and the misses is where this experiment will go. It will fill up that entire field. The streams are filled with grayling and all sorts of critters call that home.
We are on top of the 3’600 ft high hill to the right of the yellow circle in the above picture looking west in the direction of the circle. In the above the hill is marked with the word “Knob.” What you can see is at the far end of the area in the circle and more than half of what is in the area of the circle is hidden.
