Is this what fashionably late looks like? I scattered along with everyone else, made it to TalkFirearms pretty quickly, and then immediately got bogged down in some timed work for my doctorate. Specifically, I'm in the middle of my qualification exam which, among other things, involves developing a software tool to simulate the effects of turbulence in anisoplanatic imaging conditions. If that makes your head hurt (it certainly does mine!) - "air is bumpy and makes cameras produce funny-looking pictures at great distances".
I hope to have a little more time to read and participate here in January once my qualification exam is over, and then fully again after I complete my actual research 12-18 months from now. In the meantime, I'm just glad to see so many of us have made the migration and already several new members. Thank you to the folks who went out of their way to make sure I wasn't lost in the shuffle, not least of which were Jim, Grimm, and my local Dademoss!
