Frisco to London Passengers not allowed to leave plane

PASSENGERS travelling from San Francisco to London's Heathrow airport have been told they are not allowed to leave their aircraft as someone on board is suspected of having coronavirus.

One person wrote on Twitter: "Just landed at Heathrow T2 and captain has announced that someone on the plane has suspected #coronavirus. Noone allowed to leave the plane!

"Waiting for doctor confirmation expected either way. Person isolated at the back of the plane."

A second person said: “United flight 901 from San Francisco being held on apron [sic] at Heathrow with a suspected case of coronavirus onboard. We’re being held on the plane as there are seven other flights with suspected cases on board.”


The passenger added that all passengers were then asked to fill out a form and were told they could soon disembark the aircraft.

It's worldwide now. I'm still seeing news of that nightmare cruise ship in Japan. I remember when those first reports were coming out and the Chinese were trying to hush it as no big deal.

just being careful, just imagine if ALL of the passengers on all the 7 planes had been infected and they were all released to spread the virus to the general population!!

They have to be over-cautious which can be an inconvenience but it's better than the alternative.

The US is flying hundreds of its citizens home from Japan from a cruise liner that has over 150 cases on board.
