Scary stuff. I used to like nuclear power but don’t think it’s worth the risk anymore. The article tries to make you buy a subscription.... so many are pushing that now.
I agree. I used to be a big Telegraph reader but subscription put an end to that. I don't mind buying a physical copy and I understand they need to make money but there are plenty of other ways to do that.
Nuclear power is scary. I used to believe it when scientists would say it was absolutely controlled and nothing bad would happen. After so many disasters in the world, I think they all need shut down. Invest in solar and wind in some places...even cleaned coal in others. The risk far outweighs the use in my humble opinion.
I don’t believe there is such a thing as clean coal, and with the new technologies improving daily there are much better options allready. It’s kind of like keeping a steam locomotive going. Sure it’s cool for nostalgia for tourists but there are better ways to get the job done now.
