We taken the grand kids out back and played in the snow yesterday up and around Mount St. Helens or what left of it, use to be all trees around the mountain though all barren land now after the mountain blew, still had fun :)

I don't know jontte, I grew up in Florida and really hate cold! Global warming may not be so bad from my point of view . JK but it's thirty degrees right now and is about at the lower end of my tolerance level! We haven't seen a snowflake yet either. Two days ago we were all in tee shirts at 70 deg. The weather is definitely different from when I was younger.

Brent S, I ain't such a big fan of cold either,it just comes with the territory of winter ;) ,we got 1/4 inch of snow today, maybe more later, right now we have around 17F here, forecast says it could plunge to -4 F,even down to -40F...well,I have my wool mittens and longjohns and a beanie and a few lessons from my instuctor in how to avoid frost bites in your face.

if it goes to -40 there will be a hack of alot sandrats flying back to irak from here....

We are getting our first snow and ice event here.its been snowing for a few hours and will continue all night. We lost a good sized pine tree across the drive, so will add it to the wood supply tomorrow. We're supposed to get 2 to 6 inches total, but the ice is the fun part. Anyways, glad I have a stack of wood next to the wood burning stove. Hope everyone is safe and warm tonight.

It's January and our temps are 55 deg F *sigh no winter for us, we should be 18F or colder right now, in fact I have moss growing on the trees right now, one of my magnolia trees already have some buds on it already, squirrels and chipmunks are confused, even my grass is confused! I might have to mow come the end of next week.

don't know what to expect,temp went up from -22C (-7,6F) to -1C (30,2F) over night,maybe water...

Overall Washington isn't as dire as what was predicted though my area hasn't benefited from the snowfall, the state as a whole is slightly below average, the mountains all have snow so my creeks and springs should do ok this summer... fingers crossed!
