So my wife and i are gardeners and we do a lot of canning and vaccum sealing for the freezer .i wuz just wanting to know wut other methods people on here use and wut ur gardens and food reserves look like.right now i just store mine in the house but in the case of no electricity i think it would get way to hot to store canned stuff in the house.when I was growing up my mom had a great Root cellar and we always stored all our canned stuff in there. I might look into that as a option but it would have to be strictly diy.but here is a pic of my garden and some canned goods. i have more in a shelf in closet.we have already put up over a hundred quarts of green beans .we canned a lot of potatoes and tomatoes and have made pickles and salsa .our garden is about 32 ×75 and we feed 6 people plus friends out of it .we have already vaccum sealed about 30 dozen ears of sweet corn.the next thing i want to try to pressure can is meat as i have never tried this.
