Excerpt: "Aging is a battle that humans have known they can't win since the beginning of history. We can hate it or (eventually) accept it but ultimately we can’t avoid growing old. However, over the years scientists have been trying to pinpoint the roots of this biological process and work out if there is any way to stop or reverse it. There have been some minor successes along the way and a new study adds to these.

The researchers were able to reverse the aging process of some old human cells by delivering a specific molecule to their mitochondria, the structures within cells where energy is produced. This approach stops the cells from becoming senescent, a point at which they can no longer duplicate. Some researchers believe that the accumulation of these cells in organs is key to the aging process."

I need them to hurry up and figure this out. Every year I seem to get a little bit more stiffer.

Imagine. The Bible tells us how from Adam to Noah, it was common to live hundreds of years, both Noah & Adam lived over 900 years. And with Noah, God said it was not good for man to live that long.

I cannot imagine living hundreds of years. Yes, it had it's purpose in its time. But I'm more than happy passing within the first century.

Seriously though, Chinese biologistshave made several healthy, successful clones from an adult ape (a gibbon I believe, but I may be wrong).

In my mind, if we can clone an ape...we can clone a person.

This may be a source of organs, stem cells, tissues, and so on for transplant.

I could picture clones being grown like ancephalic babies, kept alive on machines, and sourced for transplant materials.

A person could have quality of life until 175 or 200 years of age.

A disquieting thought.

Cloning humans has been outlawed at least for now for a reason. You are creating another human. Wouldn't it be inhuman just to create another human for the purpose of harvesting organs? The only successful cloning has been Dolly the sheep that I know (obviously I am behind) of so it is getting close but still very unethical to clone another human. Anencephic babies have beaten the odds and lived longer than doctors have expected.

Ok then, I need some ageless knees.

People clone their dead dogs, I mean c'mon it is getting ridiculous. I am sure cloning of humans has already happened but it is a secret.

And what is so sad about that is you will never ever have your beloved dog back. You get one that will look like it but that's the only guaranty you will have. Personality can not be copied in a lab.
You are probably right on the humans too. It wouldn't surprise me if South Korea attempted it.
