getting set to retire

I have been busy,this is my final year working for someone else,I am starting up a lawn service,after tomorrow I will have all the equipment to get under way,2 zero turn mowers one is new the other is older but in good shape a couple weed eaters and a shiny new trailer to haul them on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

this year is start up and part time,next year will be full time and walk away from the mill

I’ve been self employed most of my life. There’s good and bad with it, but overall it beats the heck out of doing a job you don’t like. I knew a college kid that made 30k a year part time doing lawn maintenance. There can be money made at it and it will keep you in good shape.
I wish you luck and the best advice I can give you is save every receipt you get and put away some of everything you make for taxes.

that's what I did self employed before I retired although I did more than just cut lawns that's what I started out doing.

it takes time to get any business off the ground, especially self employment, grass cutting is very weather dependent.

I have the new mower,and have played with it,,,,,,,,,,,,,it is extremely fast,to fast in my opinion,,,,the only thing I could use is a second truck,something newer than my old 94 Dodge ,,,,,,,I still have some time before the season gets going good
