I guess I was ahead of my time,I knew a tent could be comffey and special but did know it was so 'glamorus;.'

My wife and I stayed at a resort that had glamping tents.
We stayed in the main resort but we did go look at the tents.
They were nothing more than a standard canvas tent on a wooden platform.
They had a bed and electric lights but that was it. The bathroom and showers were centrally located like the State Parts. They were only $350 a night in the peak months.
The resort was nice and we were the only ones there, it was the off-season.

Yike!

It Has been years but...

There used to be Adirondack shacks along the Appalachian trail that had a covered deck and a fireplace. No electricity, only accessible on foot but were free.
