The problem for LaPierre is that this latest shooting in Parkland, Florida, isn't an affirmation of that view. It's a direct rebuttal.

There was a good guy with a gun in the school when the bad guy with a gun started murdering people. The good guy with the gun wasn't the solution. He didn't stop it.

Of course they're not always going to stop something, you idiot. In this case, it appears the armed school resource officer was a coward, and ran away. That's probably a very very rare exception.

If this is your "definitive proof" that good guys with guns are useless, is it no also definitive proof that you should be responsible for your own self defense and not depend on police to save you? After all, the good guy who ran away was a police officer.

CNN is just chock full of ignorant, opinionated, biased, smug clowns, isn't it? In the last year, they have really shown their stripes. Intelligent people see this. But I hope the stupid people see it too, since they also get to vote.
