Agreed, we are changing our planet, and not for the good. We could switch fuel to something greener but I'm afraid greed is going to win this one. They say we need to colonize other planets to survive as a species. I think we should protect this one better first.

Carlin said it best. The Earth isn't going anywhere....WE are...it'll shake us off like a bad case of fleas. Sure, it may take a while, but in the end.....

That said, the only way greener solutions will win out, is to become cheaper. And they are...just not there yet....where they are cheaper than fossil...but eventually.

Good analogy, with us being the fleas. I agree, no matter what we do to the planet after a couple million years it will clean itself off and get back in balance. And unfortunately your right about oil being king for a while to come.
