I have a storage cabinet almost completed dedicated to my coffer storage. If no power, I will build a fire but I will not run out of coffee. The world is not ready for me with a coffee headache.

We buy 15 Folgers Classic medium roast (48oz canisters) at a time and for long term storage I have 11 totes (over 7900 cups) of Franklin's finest survival coffee from My Patriot supply

$10.42 (we get them by the double pack, slightly cheaper)

$75 (a tote) might get it cheaper on Amazon?

Yeah coffee is right up there with storing toilet paper. I don’t want to run out of either. Just remember the oil in coffee will go rancid so it only stores for for two to three years. I don’t know about the freeze dried stuff though. I had to switch to half decaf a while back and make it very weak now. That way I can still sip on it all day and not get the caffeine jitters. Could I live without coffee, yes. But why would I want to.....

pine needle tea is a possibility, although I believe there are some natural chemicals that occur in it and prolonged use is not recommended.

Paul, that's the Yew needles like the English Yew, Norfolk and Ponderosa Pine that are toxic, pine needle tea is actually good for you.

I believe all the pine trees that grow here are safe to make tea from. I have what I THINK is a Southern Longleaf Pine in the front yard. The only problem is that the pine needles are way too high to pick. I have to wait for a storm to come through to get some fresh pine needles.

Good topic Jim . I make a 12 cup pot every morning , My Wife will get 1 cup and I drink the rest . Usually finishing off the last as I drive to work . We also have a Keurig We use from time to time .
I like the strong stuff like Columbian or French roast black no cream or sugar .
My coffee saying is its got to float a horse shoe .
I keep a row of coffee in the pantry just in case , rotate as used .
