Actually bigpaul the Japanese aren't allowed to own swords anymore eithet from what I hear
I think it's great that they don't want guns. I also think it's great that I am allowed to have them if I choose. I'm ok with strict punishment when a gun is used in a crime too. I will never be ok with any government saying I can't defend myself though.
Be care there my friend the LEFT are very skillful at deceit. In the UK we have the absolute right to DEFEND ourselves enshrined in law, but we are DENIED the tools purposely designed to achieve that result. Your Democrats of course will insist every Merkin has the right to protect themselves, but they WILL go for your guns, or the ammo or where you can use them or keep them or what licence you must have or what expensive insurance you must have, and how many times you can fire at an attacker. or they will go for the gun and ammo manufacturers OR they will try for ALL of the above.

I say good for Japan... but we ain't Japan, Japan always prided itself on civil obedience but the people always relied on the government for it's protection in and from anything. They are perhaps the biggest concentration of sheeples of any nation on earth! With that said I also have a great deal of respect and admiration of the Japanese People.
