Haven't had kids come by in the last several years but the local dads drive to my place and we have a little party at the side of the road and wait. Beers, small fire, music...

Not sure what the wives all do but it's not outside.

Didn't even buy candy this year. If we get kids, I'm giving them each a dollar bill.

Nothing, got tired of "driven in" kids, and families with kids sending the kids out and not sharing candy.

The village up north has a few places to visit and pick up treats, and the local FD and church have spots to reserve to pass out candy if you want.

Halloween has not been a part of my life since I was 16 or 17. Started out collecting candy, then committing vandalism, then I couldn't have cared less or used it as an excuse to get loaded and wake up with a sexy [insert costume here]. This year I am embracing it and have a candy bucket and a sign on the door in the hopes some of the complex children come knocking. Otherwise I will just be sitting here in the apartment alone with a huge burrito and a bottle of Ghost tequila. Felt apropos.

Neighbor boy Levi comes for dinner. We typically make pizza, watch a scary movie, and he and little granddaughter eat all the candy they want. Husband and I help.
I noticed signs at the churches in the bigger town that there's a number of "Fall Festivals" happening November 1st.
There's also no school on the 1st. That's probably smart.

One year when Halloween was on a weekend I had little candy bags for a few kids I knew in the area..but most times I'm working or sleeping.
I think the local towns had a trick or treat thing in town last weekend anyway..
The one year I was at my brother's place and we both got into it..decorated the porch, had tons of candy..neither of us had done anything like that in years because of work. But he had just retired n it was right b4 I got out here. Almost a decade ago..it was fun!

we used to have Halloween parties at my friends house mostly in Florida. It was always fun. We lived close to a neighborhood in Orlando that did a huge amount of decorating and giving out really good candy.
Now, nobody around here does Halloween
I am going to bake a Halloween pizza and we'll play some games , I'll take a photo of it
might make a graveyard dessert too

I showed up at church on harvest party night, no one else dressed up that time!! You know me, wearing all black clothing, weird hair braids, black makeup on my face around my eyes. Most didn’t recognize me. Ha! It was after a commitment with my job.
This past Saturday I was expected to wear a costume, same event. Wore all black and elf/Vulcan/fairy ears.
Traveling on Halloween this year.

Yeah, that got outta hand when I was in Bama. :(
They industrialized it....
When a 4-wheeler pulling a hay-trailer stops in front of your house, and 30 kids hop off and line up at your front porch, it ain't fun nomore.
You got 20 pounds of candy??? ...you're gonna need it.:(
