So I just went to the market and stocked up on canned goods and non perishables to last a few weeks. But the meats, milk and breads were all gone. normally I wouldn't be concerned like trucks deliver daily right.?.? What is the most needed items I'm going to wish I thought about getting?

Howdy from West Georgia!

Think about what you can stand eating for an extended period of time. I mean everyone could exist on peanut butter and jelly for a few days, but we're looking at way more than a few days in which you might not be able to buy what you want. I could live on red beans and rice and sausage for a while if I had something else to eat occasionally (like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches :D )

If you can plant a garden so you'll have fresh veggies. Figure out what non perishables you'd be able to stomach for an extended period of time. A lot of stores still have frozen vegetables. I don't think we're going to have extended blackouts, but I could be wrong. I'm banking on being able to live on the frozen foods in my freezers, using my generator to keep the freezers going during blackouts, but if that fails I have freeze dried as a fallback. And I guess I could just make a BUNCH of stew with what's in the freezers if it thaws out.

I suggest getting a variety of different non perishable items. Like doc said, one thing will keep you alive but having something different not only helps with your taste buds but gives a wider variety of nutrients.
