Mummers Parade...New Year's Day...Philadelphia

Holy Smokes, Shooter! I know a guy who loves to dress up for parades. The Mummers have gone way beyond him though.
If you never been to a Mummers Parade in Philly...put it on your "Bucket List" VT...
{ That's Philadelphia City Hall way down Broad Street...with William Penn on top facing Treaty Park...where Penn dealt with the local Indians. }
The first "official" parade occurred January 1st, 1901...but many years of impromptu parades happened before that...It is believed to be the oldest folk festival in the United States.

The weatherman is predicting our low temps to be a bout 19*F in a few days... (My motorcycle is getting lonesome without me).
It almost never gets this cold here (Houston), don't know how you guys in the north do it!
