Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We are having a deep fried Turkey, roasted pork tenderloin, oyster dressing, shrimp and miriliton dressing, groundmeat & peppers dressing, sweet potato crunch casserole. Cauliflower casserole (like a loaded baked potato, substitute potato for cauliflower), greenbean casserole, buttered early baby green peas, shrimp and corn soup, charbroiled oysters on the half shell, baked 3 cheese macaroni, cranberry sauce, Hawaiian dinner rolls, Turkey gravy, pork gravy.

Pumpkin pie, pecan pie, turtle cheesecake, and an assortment of cookies.

I’m greatful for all things in my life, even the bad ones. They are what help you to develop into who you really are. I am certain of one thing, if you’re alive then there is always the ability to make positive changes in your life even if you’re not happy with what you have going on right now.
I ate till stuffed, will rest and repeat often today... a good day

Happy Thanksgiving guys! I was very thankful we got an invite to #1 sons house this year to enjoy the holiday. I normally do it here but with all the hours I had been putting into work lately I was happy to have it somewhere else. His wife decorated and he did a lot off the cooking and other family cooked to bring. Mine was yeast rolls, cornbread dressing, pecan pie and a cheesecake topped with chocolate and caramel. He cooked a prime rib for a main and daughter in laws brother made a turkey so we had the traditional along with a non. Son #1 even had a couple vegan friends that came since they didn't have family here. . . I so get that. Our friend that normally spends holidays with us had nobody. I ended up cooking his sides the night before after I got off an 11 1/2 hour shift. I felt bad he was going to be alone

We adopted a neighbor who was from England and didn't have anyone. He would come every Sunday to eat and hang. The kids loved him. He passed away and I was shocked to find out he had left me his life insurance. He started as our garbage man but come to find out, he had actually performed at Royal Albert Hall and and had been a studio musician with some rather large names. He just never made it in America

Well I know my neighbor friend has a son out in CA. I am expecting nothing but he honestly has nothing. . . My mom on the other hand does, , , but again expect very little when she goes. She lives in a refinery area and one blew yesterday. She had an option to go to my house or my sisters with mandatory evacution. . . she chose to go to the casinoes because she got a 2 day complaminatry rooms

I'm thankful that I woke up with a heart beat again today. More importantly my family is healthy and all are doing well. My wife will be flying home tomorrow, in fact she on the plane right now. My daughter and grandkids are coming down on Saturday. Plus I'm thankful that the new house is finially finished and we're moving in.

AD, I was watching a show called Buying Alaska yesterday and couldn't help thinking of you. All of the snow they deal with ....... oh, we only get about 5 feet per year here. P,us houses built on stilts so they dont get trapped by heavy shows. Lol. I can't imagine.
