May your home be filled with joy, your day be filled with peace, your plate filled with food and your heart filled with thankfulness. And remember, gratitude is a force multiplier for wealth. Not only financial, but true wealth.

And God Bless those in service to this nation who are unable to be with their loved ones this Thanksgiving. ๐Ÿซก May our gratitude extend to the cloak of protection they provide us all.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and a reminder of my favorite prepper saying:

How long could you survive if all you had was what you thanked God for yesterday.

We all have very much for which to be thankful. ๐Ÿ™

My daughter, her husband and granddaughter are coming down today. They should be on the road already. The wife's brother is coming up today too.
I'm thankful for all the free help that I'll have for the next couple of days. Need to finish splitting wood and start stacking it in the wood shed.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! May you be blessed with peace, joy, happiness, and good food today.

I'm not cooking this year! I'm going to daughter's where her and her friends are doing all the cooking. I have had years in the past, when I was living in the Bakken in North Dakota. One year I had 19 people for Thanksgiving, and I don't think any of them were relatives, just people I knew and who were on call while the rest of their family was elsewhere. I also think there were people there who I had never met before. I think that I was on call that weekend.

We had a change of plans.
The 60-ish couple across the road invited us to join them for dinner.
We watch out for, and help each other throughout the year. At our age (almost 80) we sometimes need help around the homestead.
Some of their family are coming so I have to do one of the things that I donโ€™t like - being in a social situation. Iโ€™m basically a recluse.

Please keep in your thoughts and prayers all the men and women in our military who, even now, are on duty thousands of miles away from their families keeping us safe in these dangerous times.

And may God always watch over the riflemen of the Infantry.

It was supposed to be me, the lady, the girl and two employees from the office that had nowhere to go. But now we have now added on two more people; a security guard (a former MP) and counter worker from the complex who get off shift about the time I was planning to eat. I was chatting with them this morning when taking out the trash and neither had anything going on and were just going to "grab something" on the way home. I said hell with that and invited them to come eat with us. My cup overflows.
