I will probably need month to read all your great information. We just recently started to get back into prepping. We were doing semi good as long as the kids were still at home but they are married now and do their own thing.
We are past middle age and basically try to do stuff and thinking ahead for us and the kids. They don't believe in prepping.
Anyway. thank you for letting me learn from you all.

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. USA

Welcome from Fin,
well glad you belive, let's hope it's just an insurance we don't need to collect...
personally I think we might have to with all the nasty stuff floating around us.

Hi, living in Vegas I guess the main long term survival criteria for you is going to be water, Mainly being able to store HUGE amounts ( IBCs in the back yard?) and be able to travel to find and bring water home, but at least its warm and you should be able to benefit greatly from solar power. There re some fabulous You Tube videos of desert dwellers in Nevada and the surrounding area often living FT in RVs.

Welcome. The first thing I thought when I saw you were from Vegas was about how to prep for water as well. The second thing was I’ve never been there yet and was just talking with a sister about meeting there for a long weekend. I’ve heard so much about the food that I want to eat and see a couple shows likely. Gambling isn’t my thing but seeing the sights sounds fun.

howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right on in with any replies you have on a topic

The food there is a million options, just don't get suckered in to paying tons for the Strip buffets. There are lots of great places of Strip. Cheaper and good quality.
Shows are awesome but see if you can get a coupon or something, they are expensive.
The outdoors are amazing!
