Hello to everyone! I am new here and very happy to have found this site. So new, I am still trying to figure out what all the lingo means. I have been perusing the forums and finding out all sorts of great information. I am also happy to see there are many people out there of like mind. As for prepping, this is something I have been thinking about for a while but have not acted on. It is time I began taking action, that's how I found the site and so my prepping begins! I have already downloaded and written down notes from several posts I have seen for recommendations. A few years ago I did take a concealed weapons/defense class but never followed through with purchasing a gun as I am not comfortable with them. I think the time has come that I get comfortable with them so as to be prepared to protect myself and my family if necessary. I recently moved to a fairly rural area in my county so I could plant a large garden, have some chickens and live a very simple life (as long as possible). I am looking forward to taking advantage of my location to allow me to work towards becoming better prepared for the future and basically insuring ability to survive. Also start working on the bug in plan and a bug out location as well. I look forward to reading about what all here have to offer!
