Always been interested in what everyone does to prep for hard times. I have always found joy in providing for myself and my needs. I enjoy tying my own fishing flys, building my fishing rods, piecing together my long rifles and AR's, reloading my own ammo, hunting deer and elk to provide for me and family, etc.
Never bought a fishing fly I didn't make myself, only ammo I ever bought was 22lr the rest I reloaded myself. And now with food shortages I am glad to have a freezer full of elk meat.
I have a good supply of powder and primers and brass to reload all my shooting needs. I imagine many of you do to weather it be reloading components or factory ammo.
But how can we truly prep and succeed with self reliance when there is still a bit of our needs we must rely on big commercial companies to supply? I'm talking about ammo! The only way it seems we can prepare is to buy all we can to prepare for present and future shortages.
I always believed in that saying "give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish he eats for a life time."
I'm hope to spread a bit of knowledge to all that feel like they are under the thumb of big companies and government that will regulate our ammo, reloading and shooting needs. All you need is powder and primers, we can make our own bullets, sure cast bullets from scrap lead is good but it is not difficult to make jacketed bullets too.
I am well stocked with every possible jacketed bullet I could ever need but I didn't buy them I made them myself with swage dies I make myself. It feels good to know I do not need to worry about ammo shortages as I can make all I'll ever need.
