Hi everyone.
I live in ultra-rural WY. Been here 12 years. I try to be prepared for most things: power failures, floods, blizzard, defense, food, water, fuel, etc. The usual I guess. Have only needed it twice in those years, but we were "sitting pretty" while others suffered due to negligence or planning.
Built most of my house here so have building skills for framing, plumbing, electrical, water and DWV, etc.
Retired electrical engineer, a nerd forever, etc.
All for now. I'll look around.
Thanks.

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. :USA:

howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right on in with any replies you have on a topic

Howdy from the SE US. Good Forum, I think you'll like it.

Welcome to you from Germany. Sounds like you have already gotten to test your skills and verifiy that it was right to prep.
One question though. On the 2 times you needed it, how did the "others" around you get along? Any bad news, any begging for help, any asking if you need help??
You have some first hand experience we others may not have, how did you get along in comparison with the "non preppers/please help me people" ? Advantages? Disadvantages? Jealousy? Thanx in advance if you could share your experiences with the rest of us! You mentioned a few things, but could you be a bit more specific?
Live free, GP
