Hi everyone!

I'm not necessarily new to prepping per se, but this Coronavirus business has brought the possibility of social/economic collapse a lot closer to our doors than I would like. I decided to join this forum to gain input from others and share my knowledge and experience as well.

I am discovering that now is a very good time to practice "dry runs" with gear and make plans and backup plans etc. What things have you all been working on since this whole COVID-19 thing started?

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. USA

Welcome. This crisis is new to everyone so don’t know how bad things will get or what will work best. Luckily most standard preps cover the basics of life and will help with what’s to come. Water, food, shelter and security. In that order. Those will get you through most things.

Hey from NY ..... Today i experimented with homemade trip wires that could alert me in the night

I used to have those in an apartment I used to live in. The locks didn't exactly work and I never felt safe. So I rigged fishing line to a can of nuts, bolts, nails, across the door. No way would I miss that falling, and it would be unpleasant for whoever tried to walk across it regardless of their shoes.

I rigged up some mouse traps that could strike different items and let out a noise, I also took apart some of the toys my son doesn't play with anymore and used the speakers to make alarms.I have good locks and 2 pit bulls (granted one is deaf) who are terrible guard dogs because I have babied the hell outta them and made them wimps but I'm hoping they will bark and wake me up lol. I am just a really heavy sleeper ( I slept through the first 5 mins of a motor attack in Afghanistan) so I'm trying to get as early of a warning as I can so I can deal with if someone trys to enter my home.
