I use a regular hot glue gun mostly for patching knees on pants. Hot glue the patch then flatten it and finish the bond with a hot iron.

Unique stitch is one I’ve used. Joann’s or Amazon online.
I would ask what kind of fabric? If it’s denim or canvas, I would use contact cement.
I did a quick search for homemade- it said add a pinch of salt to white glue. Not sure how it would hold up.
Hope some part of this helps.

This is one of the things I love about this forum. I know absolutely nothing about gluing fabric, and can bring nothing to this party, but ask the question, and several members with expertise will provide good, sound knowledge. Thank you all for sharing. We can all learn.

Question for ya, Chief: Is the "monster sleeping bag", umm.. 'Filletable'? Ergo: can ya unzip it Totally wide-open / flat? 🤔 Asking, as If-Not, then I won't waste yer time with my .02-suggestion. :p

No will not lay flat opened. And there is nothing to stitch too. It has huge baffle along the top and bottom side zipper. I have other redundant (same bags) new in the box.

..Just curious, as - IF - you can get one Anything like 'flat and wide-open', I'd go search out yer Local 'Auto-parts Emporium', for some:

(or, Other-brand 'equivalencies', ie: https://mossmotors.com/media/catalo...09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/4/0/409-037_1.jpg 👍

Also available here: www.amazon.com/Permatex-27828-Headliner-Adhesive-Aerosol/dp/B000HBNU9K ..and, worst case, 3M's 'Super 77' (ie: https://i0.wp.com/images-na.ssl-ima.../51N50kqcNbL._SX466_.jpg?resize=466,453&ssl=1 ) Will also work, but, the Permatex is 'designed' for doing just-this, and it's Great Stuff 👍 (and PS - Buy 2-3 cans, while yer at it.. While ya still... Can, heh. :)

But, in either case, ya Have to be able to 'spray Both surfaces' of the fabric to get them to 'bind properly', but.. If you can get them both-sides sprayed-well (Yes, deffo also need to do this in a Good, well-ventilated Enviro (and, in-front of the Wood Stove isn't it.. :p this stuff should keep those 'bound' for Years.. (just think of the 'headliner' / carpet in yer autos.. How often do Those 'just peel off', ya know?.. 🤔

But, failing This being able to work for ya... Maybe you know someone who can just sew you up a Giant Flannel 'Sock', as an 'insert'? Then, if / when the current flannel-lining is shot, well.. You'll have a (removable / washable, too  ) 'sock'.. Think: like a suuuuuuper-long 'Pillow-case', as-insert

Just some thoughts..

Personally, I would make the liner separate (make an insert) I would add some velcro in strategic spots to hold the new liner in place.

This way it can be removed for washing. Just remember to pre shrink your fabric, whether it needs it or not, before sewing it to size.

If you don't have a sewing machine it's easy enough to do by hand, and no one can see inside the bag to critique your handi-work, anyway.

unless that bag has no mass or substance, there is something to stitch too. looks like a nice bag. Sometime the paradigm has to change.

unless that bag has no mass or substance
It weighs 17 pounds, is 39" wide, 92" long and the bag has about 7" loft, and rated for 35f below zero. So, the top half and bottom half are each three and half inches thick.

The 3rd image in your link shows it laid out flat.
The is two bags zippered together.

Coldest I recall here is -24F. Took 2 hours to get the car started :p. Had the roof off the plant, had to go fill the heaters with kerosene
