They already control cars now, in the EU every car must be connected by next year with an interface that sends all car data, exhaust data and location data directly to Brussels by radio, the whole car life. Furthermore, cars are from 2023 with speed limits via GPS zwingen equip, you can no longer drive faster than the current maximum speed that applies on the roads.
There were already cars on the highway shut down here the direction of Eastern Europe drove, you were reported as stolen and the car manufacturer could force these vehicles shut down.
Cars of today are no longer suitable for private use, they are monitored from A-Z.

If you want to use a getaway car in a crisis, keep an old car, preferably not one built after 2010.

Put 1 + 1 together, Kamala and AOC are 100% behind the WEF, the WEF wants to ban proprietary ownership of everything, for that reason Trump had to leave, now Klaus Schwab and the WEF have no resistance to his plans except Uncle Putin.
Uncle Putin will not sacrifice his country to the vision of this WEF, for this reason he is the next one they want to promote away, they put all the critics cold, in the end the people themselves.

Now in Europe there is no more car culture and also no car lobby, these are all just willing idiots. It has here no company or car manufacturer more the courage to say something against Brussels or the German Chancellor Merkel, the car manufacturers are already shoveling your own grave and take that without resistance, with the new EU limits as far as exhaust gases are concerned will now disappear because one car model after another from the market and thousands of jobs are lost, or better said to China and it still say all thanks to the EU.
It's a totally stupid world here, the same as the German Energiewende, you turn off all German nuclear power and coal-fired power plants in Germany and Riskiert without shrugging the biggest blackout in Europe, even if experts warn of three years, the government pulls the thing through.
If there is a blackout in Europe during the winter which if we are unlucky lasts 3 weeks there will be thousands of deaths here, Corona will be nothing against it.
The only advantage that such a blackout would have is that you would not hear anything from politicians and Corona for three weeks.

For this contribution I would have been in two European prepper forums probably banned for life, that would also be reality, because you do not want to hear that because the EU and Merkel always does everything right.

They want to anger the car culture to. That's suicide!

No its socialism, you can ride the bus like everyone else, EXCEPT the ruling elite who have entire road lanes designated only for them. No i'm not joking.

Living in russia or buying up a few LADAS has a certain appeal.

@BillMasen

All cars that are imported into the EU must be equipped with this system, as I once heard there are efforts on the part of the EU to no longer allow Ladas here. Things were similar at Landrover, now Mercedes builds similar vehicles to Landrover and no one interested ...

@ban1985

Lada counts in the EU as an small manifacturer, so they are still able to sell their cars without the whole Big Brother crap. In our country Lada is still aviable as new car.
But i anyway prefer the pre- 1999 cars. The oldest i own is from 1984, the youngest from 1997. Still to modern... lol

We cannot get them any more because of the emissions rules and N,cap safety rules. I had two, built like tanks, easy to fix and would start in an ice storm, In the 2010 ice storm that hit this area the only car that would start and move in this street was my Lada, but when you remember they are designed to operate in Siberian winter.

Vauxhall Agila, best little car on the road, fast and nippy great for those back country roads and I can still get loads of pallets and a couple of the big blue plastic barrels in the back, the back seats are always kept down so that I can put things in the back, good mileage on a gallon of petrol and it will do motorway speeds no problem, in fact the only problem is keeping them down to the speed limit!!!

I JUST LOVE MY 2000 RENAULT SCENIC 4X4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fold down back seats, removable back seats, hinged back window, swinging back gate, spare on the back gate, lots of little storage spaces, 2 liter engine, 16 valves instead of turbo, 142 hp and uses only 7.5 liters to 100 km ( about 35mpg). Great little car with NO ONLINE POSSIBILITIES!!!!

OK you got my attention, LOL. That's an important factor for me.
I've driven countless vehicles over the decades , but the old fashioned seats made the old way in the Rivas and Nivas are a joy to sit on. Cloth outer over cotton inner over foam layer over horse hair padding ( I think) horizontal S springs on the bottom and much much wider than modern car seats. Room to wriggle and slide about if you want. The worst seats ever are the ones in my van which I think must have been designed for small asian folks.

Haven't heard of those. I drive a Dodge Challenger. If the weather is bad, we have a Ford F150 pickup. If we're hauling junk to the dump, or doing dirty work, we have an old Ford pickup.
