Hey everyone! I'm semi-new here - I tend to read a lot more than I post. Just figured I'd throw out a quick intro post. I'm in the NOVA area and am not a "hard core" prepper or anything, just always had an interest in survival stuff and what not. I'm into photography and have recently been getting involved with shooting and love to hike and camp though I don't get to do too much of that due to bad knees and no one else I know enjoys doing it unless it's in a 4 star hotel or really nice camper which doesn't count (one friend who went camping with me complained after one day that he was too high maintenance and went to check into a motel for the rest of the trip, it wasn't even hard camping - it was at the beach with toilets and a cold shower!). Anyways, I am have been enjoying the forums!

Thanks! I do the best I can with my bum knees, I need a full knee replacement on one of them but the Dr's say that I'm not old enough to qualify for one yet, it really a bummer since there are so many things I would love to do but an unable to due to being in constant pain.

Yeah, I'm about a 10 minute drive from DC, just outside the beltway.
