Now how about a nice prepping book or maybe science fiction?
I have had a lot of my science fiction published in Analog Science Fiction and Fact.

I've thought about a prepping book, but my concern has always been a fear that if I get a fact wrong, or don't communicate well.....will someone die in an emergency because I gave faulty or outdated info?

This is why I have a problem with actresses and movie stars writing books about their diets, as they aren't physicians, they aren't nurses or dieticians, and I wonder if people get sick and/or die by following what is--essentially--medical advice from an actress.

I would have similar concerns if I wrote a prepping book.

Very good basic thoughts Kevin. Your fears are not really needed. Prepping is only a basic study on getting enough things together which you need and use daily. After that, prepping is having to decide on which things you could not do without if the world falls apart totally or only partially. Getting these objects and food essentials together according to your personal situtation, financial status, actual location and future locations, family status, training, abilities, handicaps and the will to survive the worst of scenarios, is the rest. NO-ONE can take an overdosis of prepping or die from it either. EVERYONE can die from NOT prepping. Think of prepping as a tailored to fit, private insurance used to fend off hunger, cold, thirst and loss of life or health for your loved ones.

Yes, I am autistic . . . and as an autistic person, I have problems with body language, eye contact, sensory issues, and--especially--communication.

There are things that everybody understands that I've never grasped, and it interferes with my work relationships and my personal life in ways that nobody understands.

Thank you for answering, I have a near photographic memory. It helps while teaching the truck and bus drivers since I can quote laws and regulations or explain the functioning of an entire brake system and draw it on the board. But, it makes it hard to speak in closed circles, the others think I am just a smart ass who knows everything and I do not have many friendly encounters. Those who survive the first 2-3 weeks grasp the situation and we get along fine.
Your commo here is just fine, keep writing. GP

we all have our limitations,me I learn by doing a heck of a lot better than just reading some manual, that's prolly why I'm good with my hands..
and some one characterized me as an extrovert introvert, that's why I need silence.
and from the reaction here you must keep on writing as you have the talent, don't waste it my friend.

Think of the great names in history: Picasso, Shakespear, Stephen King, Bob Dylan or Smokey Robinson. They were all able to give the world something without having to make direct contact with the persons enjoying their writings and paintings. But all were a bit eccentric. Join this great heritage club and give the world something that was not here before you came into the picture. It is just like having children, create and give the world something original. The human mind is the greatest thing on this planet, it is also the most terrible prison if you let yourself stay locked in and cannot or do not escape! Live free, GP
