Been thinking a lot about prepping. Do not know where to even start with my limited budget. So, I started searching the internet and found this forum.

My name is Darryl. I'm 51 years old. Married with 1 young one still at home. I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I'm an Air Force Veteran of over 23 years. I love to read. Love Country music as well Celtic music. I'm a photography fiend. I also love to go shoot my 9mm lugar.

I look forward in meeting new friends here.

Thank you for having this great forum.

Welcome Darryl. And thank you for your service that you have provided for our country! There is a bunch of great people here that will be willing to answer your questions and explore around in the different forums. . . there is so much info in them.

Welcome! You hail from the prepper state! Check out your local LDS for info on food storage. You may have LDS stores around you!

A Warm Welcome! Basically, you can start off small like a can or two (just keep in mind the expiration dates) everytime you go to the grocery. A pack of rice or pasta there.... Then develop your survival skills....

I like the sense of humor! Matches are little things. Collect them and store them in Capri sun Mylar bags to keep them dry.

Welcome Daryl. You will find some very wonderful folks here I know I did. If your looking for something and can't seem to find it just let everyone know and I can assure you they all will jump in and help you out. Also I want to tell you THANK YOU for your service to our country. I'm a navy brat and I know it takes dedication and a love for our country to move from place to place and to be away from your family for long spells at a time. You will find some very dedicated folks here that are willing to do all they can to help you out as well. Again Welcome and please share your ideas when you feel able. I know I've picked up a lot of good ideas from others here that I would never even had considered.
